Introduction

About Me

I am Barbara Hardy and I am working as a freelance editor and translator for English and German in Oberhausen, Germany.

I am passionate about languages and communication and I always strive to improve my skills and to expand my abilities.

After completing my Biology degree and the following traineeship at a publishing house, I realised some editorial work, proofread several scientific articles and kept improving my language skills in French and English.

In June 2023, I passed the exam to become a state-certified translator and ever since, I have been working as a freelance translator and editor.

As a freelance reader, I have been working for nearly nine years, and I enjoy researching and learning about new topics and trends.

Now, my children are very independent and they are motivating me to become professionally active again. I am ready to apply my skills and experience to new exciting topics and look forward to interesting challenges.
